The best meal we had must have been on our final evening at the resort - we went in to the buffet as usual and we were seated but then were told that another table had been prepared for us. We have noted on the shortfalls and we will ensure we working on them during this slow time to make it better. How this can be considered a 5 star is unbelievable. Hans is the man to ask for at the Bar, he like everyone else at the resort goes above and beyond!
We then went to the main restaurant for food where we met Yan for the first time - he was extremely helpful and showed us around explaining the layout. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful - Mauritius as a country is unmatched - the mountains and greenery next to the clear turquoise waters - breathtaking! Relaxing spa offers a range of massages plus access with hammam and sauna is rejuvenating. We are doing training and will keep monitoring this issues to avoid them to reappear again for hopefully your next visit with us. To make things even better it was Italian night and just as I went up to get food Alan the manager told me to sit down and he’d bring my food to me (at a buffet!) At previous spas she has been sat down and given tea and relaxing music whilst her full medical history has been taken, (not a task undertaken lightly). It has a beautiful setting, the beach lovely and the sunset amazing. Hans’ second to none service along with the delicious snack like dishes the restaurant offers like chicken skewers and salads makes it the perfect lunch time eatery! Highly recommend resort. Are we too old? Due to the dampness of our first room we were moved to another room, but there were difficulties with the air conditioning and therefore were offered a further move, but decided to stay as the other rooms had issues. You could actually eat in the buffet every night without getting bored - which is very rare! I can’t help think the room maid should turn her hand to a spot of DIY, planing down the door, fixing the LED strip behind the headboard and colour matching the low energy bulbs in the room.
